Wande Coal ft. D’Banj – You Bad

We just received the go-ahead to unleash this joint to the online world. For those who still don’t know, the album is finally out, and it should be everywhere in a matter of days.
M2M consists of 16 tracks including the already known hits as well as “You Bad” and “Confused” featuring D’Banj, “Sope Tie,” “Na who born the maga” and many others. Believe me, it’s FAYA!!!!!

Lovely Track and Video!… Makes me want to display my Alanta dance

Ikechukwu ft M.I – We Go Hard

Another banger off Ikehchukwu’s ‘Life and Times of Killz Vol1′ album, which is sadly not available for purchase anywhere online (at least for now), but I’m sure that you can buy a copy on any Gidi street corner.
Killz brought his skillz and Killettt it, M.I understood it and sliced the beat into pieces (please forgive my wack attempt at rhyming, I promise never to try it again…lol). They both brought it though. I like the beat and the trumpets on this track.
Let me know your thoughts.

KC Presh ft. Timaya – Ginga Ur Swagga

This one is fresh from KC Presh! I’m sure we all know who they are. They rose to limelight after winning the 2002 Star Quest competition. This is their brand new offering. All signs lead to a potential hit.
Beat remind’s me of Beanpole’s Club Me. I just made the Djs’ mixing job easier. lol.

DJ Neptune – 123 HipHop ft. M.I

These boys are not playing at all! As previously announced, DJ Neptune of RayPower 100FM and the Naija DJs Coalition is on the verge of breaking the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by dropping an atomic weapon on the continent of Africa!
This is the 2nd single off his upcoming “EverBlazin’ Da Mixtape” compilation featuring, M.I, the hottest rap name in the game since… God knows when.

CartiAir – Owo ati Swagger

For those of you who listened to Track 3 (Take It Back) on 2face’s the Unstoppable album, CartiAir was the featured rapper on that song.
He was born in New York City to Nigerian parents, but he relocated to Nigeria in 2006 to complete his education because his parents wanted him to have a feel of his own country. CartiAir is currently a student at Igbinedion University, Okada.
According to reports and the image below, he is currently signed to J Sleek’s Magic Records … Let me know what you think about this song.

Storm Records – All Star Freestyle

Before I get slaughtered by the ultra-reliable music heads on the site, I must say this song is definitely old. It’s a 2006 collaboration off the Storm Records mixtape featuring music heavyweights D’Banj, Naeto C, eLDee and Ikechukwu.
We got some emails concerning the existence of the song, so I figured I’d post it for clarification.
For arguments sake, I’d say D’Banj killed dem all on the freestyle. Enjoy!

Download M.I – iLLegal Music (Exclusive)

I know all you M.I stans (myself included) out there have been feigning for this. iLLegal Music is finally here!!!
It is 14 tracks deep and if you have been a listener on the site, then you may have heard some of the songs on it. M.I did some experimenting on this joint with singing and rapping on non-hiphop type beats. However, as expected, it is a solid piece of work done on instrumentals that he was certain could not be cleared for official release to sell. This mixtape is a very good listen. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts.
No Saturation in M.I’s game.

Piper ft Terry G – Wine Am 4 M

…and if you think Terry G is done, think again! This is another “str8-outta-the-studio” offering from the hit-machine alongside talented new-comer, Piper.
This song has a slight semblance of Ikechukwu’s “Wine Am Well.” It’s still a potential club ripper in its own right. Whatchu think?
Mystery of the week: With Terry G and M.I seemingly having sleepless nights making hits after hits, one wonders how long it will take for them to actually cross paths. I think it’s a matter of when, not if.

Video: Dampte ft YQ – Wine Your Tinkolo

I hate to say it but YQ made this song what it is. Enjoy!

Naeto C – Kini Big Deal (Official Remix)

Naeto C has finally decided, as is the norm in the industry, to make a remix to arguably the biggest song in Africa for 2008 (#1 on the yearly countdown on Channel O, MTV Base, and many other stations).
We are told to expect a star-studded cast on a further remix, including a new verse from Naeto C himself. I can’t tell which one’s better ‘cos this version sounds really heavy! Enjoy!

Video: D’banj – Suddenly

Solid video from the Koko Master.Video was shot in Lagos and directed by Sesan.

Video: Lord of Ajasa ft 9ice – Le Fe Nu So

9ice is showing love back to artists these days. Here is a video by the don of yoruba rap himself.

Video: Frank D’Nero – Cure my Craze

I like this video. Simple and different for a naija artist; I’m feeling the scenery… Looks like it was shot somewhere on a beach in Lagos. Directed by Clarence Peters

The Playbuoy – Your Love ft Terry G

Another Terry G-induced banger! Turning attention away from the hitmaker (if only for a second), The Playbuoy a.k.a Playbuoy Xtreem originates from Imo state, Nigeria, and was introduced to the mainstream in 2006 with a video to his very first single titled “We’ve got the game” which featured 2shotz and was directed by Ace video/film maker DJ Tee.
His debut album “Welcome To Playtown” drops sometime this year. Tracks in the album were produced by I.D Cabasa, T.frizzle, Kash 11, Foster Zeeno. The Playbuoy is currently running his record label (Gang Band-ITS Entertainment) under which his album will drop.
